Set your target ACOS
What ACOS do you consider profitable? Hours that beat this get a bid lift; hours that miss get a cut.
That's a 4.0x ROAS break-even.
What is Amazon dayparting, and why does it matter?
Dayparting is the practice of changing your Amazon ad bids based on the hour of the day and the day of the week. Shoppers don't buy at the same rate at 3 AM as they do at 8 PM, and your bids shouldn't be the same either. The Amazon Ads UI doesn't expose this analysis natively — but Amazon does give you the raw data in the hourly Sponsored Products campaign report.
How this tool reads your report
We parse your CSV in your browser, group every row into a 168-bucket grid (24 hours × 7 days), and compare each bucket's ACOS against the target you set. Buckets with strong sample size and good ACOS get a bid lift. Buckets bleeding clicks with no orders get flagged as wasted spend with a recommended cut. Buckets without enough volume to be confident get left alone.
What "wasted spend" means here
We flag a bucket as wasted spend when it has at least 30 clicks (enough sample to mean something) and zero orders. That's ad money that converted nothing in your reporting window. The headline number on this page sums every wasted bucket across the whole window — a real dollar figure you can act on.
How to use the output
- Start with the cuts. Wasted-spend hours are the easiest wins — there's no revenue to protect, only spend to stop.
- Apply lifts cautiously. Strong-converting hours can take a bid increase, but we cap the suggested move so you don't over-correct on a small sample.
- Re-run weekly. Performance shifts. Pull a fresh hourly report every 1–2 weeks and re-analyze.
This tool gives you a CSV of recommendations — not a turnkey Amazon Bulk Operations file. If you want help applying the changes (or running this analysis automatically every week), we can help.
